H-D powers past Evadale
DAISETTA - They were three tough games, but the Hull- Daisetta Lady Cats pulled off the sweep at home on Tuesday night over the Evadale Lady Rebels 27- 25, 25-23, and 25-21.
Game one was long, but the Lady Cats eventually pulled it out 2725. The second and third games also went the way of Hull- Daisetta, who improved to 2-1 in district play and 19-9 overall.
Vaquaylyn Haskins and Kaiden Smith led the way in kills with six each. The leading server was Kristin Mouser, with four aces, while Kaylei Armstrong had a solid overall game with 15 assists and three kills. Armstrong also had a strong defensive game with 6 digs. Mouser was the leader in digs with 10. Smith led the way in blocks with 4.
“ I was super proud with the way they played, never getting down on themselves even at times when we were down in a set,” said Lady Cats Head Coach Marlee Dillard.
Hull- Daisetta will be in action again on October 18 at Deweyville.
