Fregia nails seven three-pointers in 53-26 win over Onalaska
Maddy Fregia scored 29 points, and the Hardin Lady Hornets used a big second half to knock off Onalaska 53-26 on Tuesday night in Hardin. Fregia had seven three-pointers, with six of those coming in the second half, where she scored 22 of her 29 points. Leading 8-4 after a quarter of play, the Lady Hornets led 17-10 at the break as Fregia got a steal and a score just before the horn sounded. Fregia then took over in the second half and nailed an early three to make it 20-10. After Kayleigh Fregia hit a couple of free throws, Hardin was on an 8-0 run to lead 25-10. Later in the period, Maddy Fregia connected from downtown to make it 34-13, and then she came up with a steal and assisted Emmah Hebert for a layup, and the Lady Hornets had grown the advantage to 38-17. The fourth quarter was much of the season, and Fregia hit another three-pointer with 5:10 remaining to run the lead to 41-21. Joining Maddy Fregia in double figures was Kayleigh with 11 points and Hebert added 8. Hardin will be back in action on January 4 as they visit Tarkington.
