Flowers named Boys Cross Country SETCA Athlete of the Year

LIBERTY - Patrick Flowers has enjoyed his share of awards this year, and the senior just collected one more, as he was named the 2022-2023 Boys Cross Country Southeast Texas Coaches Association Athlete of the Year.

Flowers will be heading to the University of Houston on a scholarship, and this was his third straight year that he has run in the state cross country meet in Round Rock.

Bryce Smith of Barbers Hill was named the Boys Basketball Player of the Year by SETCA and Grant Doggett of the Eagles was named the Boys Golfer of the Year by SETCA.

Barbers Hill also had a couple of ladies win awards, as Cadence Sanders was the Girls Soccer Player of the Year, while the Lady Eagles Hailey Nutter was the SETCA Softball Player of the Year.
