Driver First-Team Selection
The Cleveland Lady Indians placed five players on the 20-5A All-District Softball Team.
Leading the way for the Lady Indians was pitcher Kristen Driver to the first team. The junior will be a key performer for Cleveland next year as they move to Class 6A.
Ava Brown of Lake Creek was named the District’s MVP. Brown, who is heading to the University of Florida, was also named the Gatorade Player of the Year.
The Offensive MVP was teammate Maddie McKee while the Defensive MVP was Taysia Constantino of Kingwood Park and Kaysen Morhisch of New Caney.
The Newcomer of the Year is freshman Skylar Scott of New Caney.
Sophomore Khloe Fussell of the Lady Indians was named to the second team.
Honorable Mention picks for Cleveland are Kalah Fussell, Abigail Martinez, and Valerie Brown.
