Dayton XC teams busy over Labor Day weekend
FRIENDSWOOD- The Dayton boys and girls cross country teams continued to get work in over the Labor Day Weekend as they took part at the Mustang Thunder XC Invitational in Friendswood.
Zade Kayyali of Friendswood won the boys race with a time of 16:08.
Broncos Head Coach Michael Asbill saw son Jaxon Asbill take fifth place for Dayton with a time of 16:26.
Taking 8th place for the Broncos was Gama Ruiz. Jacob Thomas grabbed 14th place and teammate Isaac Ramirez finished up in 34th. Pedro Herrera and Logan Strickland came across the finish line 40th and 42nd respectfully.
On the girls side, Pearland High School’s Alexandra De Hoyos finished first with a time of 20:05. Linda Bibbs of the Lady Broncos was the top finisher as she placed in 18th.
Pauline Bibbs and Jamie Maddy finished in 32nd and 33rd place while Erika Herrera was in 36th.
Madison Adams rounded out the ladies by coming across in 40th.
Dayton will be back in action at the Run the Dog Pound Invitational at Magnolia High School on Saturday morning.
