Broncos 33rd Annual Invitational Cross Country Meet Held last Saturday
DAYTON - The 33rd Annual Dayton Bronco Invitational took place Saturday morning at Dayton High School.
Broncos Head Cross Country Coach Michael Asbill had the course looking awesome with new flags all around.
“Because we have had to change the date a couple of times, we didn’t have the big turnout like we usually do,” said Asbill.
The first race of the morning was the varsity boy’s race.
Beau Waldrop of Lumberton took home first place, with Dayton’s Peyton Snapp in 5th place and Jaxon Asbill finishing 8th.
Jacob Thomas came across in 12th place and Xavier Garcia was 23rd for the Broncos.
For the varsity girl’s big school race, it was freshman Morgan Campbell dominating again to win first place.
The Lady Broncos did well, with Maiyah Phoummarath taking 4th place and teammate Linda Bibbs finishing in 6th.
Neveah Ives was 15th, Erike Herrera and Jamie Maddy finished in 28th and 29th place.
Huffman’s Rike Witt won first place in the girl’s small school race.
Kaylei Armstrong of Hull- Daisetta was 8th, teammate Kaidyn Smith was right behind in 9th and Adelyn Condra, also of the Lady Cats, was 10th.
Brooklinn Lynch was 21 for Hull-Daisetta.
The Lady Cats finished in 2nd place as a team.
