LIBERTY PANTHERS Zander Davila pitched another good game, and the Liberty Panthers doubled up Splendora 4-2 on Thursday night. Davila finished with two strikeouts and walked only one. Peyton Fregia had two hits and a pair of RBIs, while teammate Ethan Hofmeister also had two hits.
DAYTON BRONCOS The Dayton Broncos fell to Kingwood Park at home on Thursday night 16-2 in district action. Sebastian Avila got the start on the bump and was tagged with the loss. Andrew Soliz had two hits with a triple and a RBI.
TARKINGTON LONGHORNS Dalton Bottos had three hits and two RBIs, and the Tarkington Longhorns broke a 4-4 tie with two runs in the fourth inning to get an 8-4 win over Coldspring on Thursday night. Keaton Lamberth added two hits and an RBI, while Bryan Mills also had a pair of RBIs. Kamden Roberts struck out 10 in getting the complete game win on the mound.
HARDIN HORNETS Jake Wells singled home Stevens with the winning run in the bottom of the eighth inning, and the Hardin Hornets grabbed a big 6-5 win over Kountze on Thursday night in extra innings. Korey Newkirk had two doubles to lead the offense, while Trevor Jones and Michael Moody each had two RBIs. Hunter Whitehead pitched five innings and struck out six, and teammate Jayden Phelps finished the last three innings in getting the win on the mound.
