LIBERTY COUNTY — Another football season has come and gone, and The Vindicator has announced the 2023 All-Liberty County team.

This year’s squad includes some of Liberty County’s most talented local gridiron standouts from Liberty, Dayton, Hardin, Hull-Daisetta, Tarkington and Cleveland. Each player showed exemplary play on the field.

Leading the way as a sophomore is Dayton quarterback Denim Foster, who was named the Player of the Year.

Finishing as the Utility Player of the Year was Krispon Sowell of the Hull-Daisetta Bobcats.

Named the Coach of the Year was Randy Birdwell, also from H-D.

This year’s offensive team includes running backs Logan Smith of Hull-Daisetta, Nathan Wells of Tarkington, Isiaah Harrison of Cleveland and Alex Valtierra of Liberty.

The wide receivers are Anthony Walters of Hardin, Jason Wickliff of Liberty, Zach Breaux of Dayton, Andy Medina of Cleveland and Jason Smith of Hull-Daisetta.

On the offensive line are Kaydon Flowers and Matthew Eubanks of Hull-Daisetta, Tarkington’s Justin Scarborough and Jaxson Vandver, Dayton’s Donahvon Thibodeaux, and a pair of Liberty Panthers in Nolan Kay and Dalton Prichard.

On the defensive side of the ball are defensive linemen Quentin Dugat of Dayton, Adrian Ibarra of Hardin, Ivion Jordan of Cleveland and Kenan Clevenger of Liberty.

The defensive ends are Jake Bottos of Tarkington and Marcus James of Dayton.

The linebacking crew is Landon Ponton and Trevor Jones of Hardin, Liberty’s Kade Jordan, Dayton’s Caleb Ramirez and Brandon Pitty of the Tarkington Longhorns.

The secondary includes Dawson Victorian and Jakari Cooper of the Dayton Broncos, Christian Harrison of Cleveland, Jason Wickliff of Liberty and Jackson Stovall of Tarkington.

Special teams players are Liberty kicker Diego Diaz-Ramirez and the punter is Brayan Montes of Dayton.
