Dayton ISD MCJROTC Competes for Nationals
The Dayton High School Marine Core JROTC has had an outstanding competition season that culminated in an opportunity to compete for a birth to the nation drill competition in Daytona Beach. The cadets performed extremely well bringing home some hardware but ultimately fell just short of an invitation to the national competition. Out of the 16 schools that qualified for the regional competition the Dayton MCJROTC squad finished fourth, just sixty-five points away from the invitation to Florida. This group of young men and women have done a great job of represent ing Dayton ISD, Dayton High School, and their hometown throughout this competition season.
The following are the results of the regional competition.
2nd place Inspection 3rd place unarmed regulation
4th place overall meet champion
Congratulations to these young men and women on an outstanding year and good luck to those seniors that will be leaving the program.
