Suzanne Burnie

Services for Suzanne Burnie age 70 of New Braunfels will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, 2023 at Bailey & Foster Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside Services will be held at Pilgrim Cemetery in Elkhart, TX. Reception to follow at Nickle Manor in Palestine, TX.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 1, 2023 at Bailey & Foster Funeral Home.

Mrs. Burnie was born April 6, 1953 in Palestine to Bobbie Stokes and Sally (McGee) Kennedy and passed away Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2023 in New Braunfels. Suzanne graduated from Milby High School in Houston in 1971. She was a resident of Dayton for almost 20 years. She lived in New Braunfels with her late husband Jimi Burnie for over 25 years.

Suzanne enjoyed gardening, fishing, live music, the beach, camping and exploring the great outdoors. She loved sharing stories of life and adventures with friends and family.

She is preceded in death by her parents Bobbie and Sally Kennedy, her husband of 33 years Jimi Burnie, her brothers Mark Kennedy and Stewart Kennedy. She is survived by her children Jeffery Lyons, Jennifer Wyse and son-in-law Wynn Wyse, Harley Burnie, Jennifer Bylsma and son-in-law Grant Bylsma. Grandchildren, Siena, Axl, Ethan, Willow, Phoenix, Zephyr and Maddox.

Those honored to serve as Pallbearers will be Jeffery Lyons, Wynn Wyse, Axl Wyse, Brett Kennedy, Harley Burnie and Robert Wells.
