Dennis Eugene Threlkeld, 1947-2019
Dennis Eugene Threlkeld, 72 of Liberty passed away on Thursday, Sept. 12, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on Feb. 13, 1947 in Houston to parents Gene Threlkeld and Iris Marie Worthy.
After high school, he enrolled in college until he was drafted in the United States Army. Dennis had a heart of gold. He loved helping people. Dennis was known to spoil all of his animals. He enjoyed sitting on his porch watching the cows and enjoying the view. Dennis was very active in the TVE and served as president the year they celebrated their one hundred year anniversary. Dennis loved to fish. He also liked to cook. He will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents and daughter Wendy Kay Threlkeld. He leaves behind to cherish his memory son Reggie Threlkeld and wife Laura; sister Janet Williams and husband Bill; granddaughter Amanda Kay Melton and husband Michael; grandson Jared Threlkeld and wife Tonya; grandson Cody Kokes; granddaughter Lauren Canales and husband Andy; granddaughter Kelsey Kokes; granddaughter Rylie Yates; great-grandchildren Maci, Kylie, C.J., Easton, Charlotte and Audrie; nephew Adam Williams and special friends and neighbor Cliff Brast and wife Melissa.
Friends are invited to visit with the family Saturday, Sept. 14, from 10 to 11 a.m. in the chapel of Allison Funeral Service, 1101 N. Travis St., Liberty, Texas 77575. A graveside service will immediately follow at Worthy Cemetery.
Honoring the family by serving as pallbearers are Charles Land, Jerry Paul Land, Jason Simeon, Chuck Land, Jarod Threlkeld and Cody Kokes.
