TxDOT sets timeline for US 90 work
DAYTON – Drivers have undoubtedly felt the rumble and bumpy ride entering town on US 90 lately, as crews stripped the roads down in recent weeks; now TxDOT has announced a few important dates regarding that project.
In a press release from TxDOT, a proposed completion date of early summer has been set for resurfacing the roadway.
“A mill and overlay project is currently underway along US90 from SH146 to just east of FM1409. Crews have milled off the top layer of pavement and are currently making any needed repairs to the base of the roadway,” reads the statement.
That repair work is already underway and expected to continue until sometime in mid-April.
“ Overlay work will follow the base repairs giving the roadway a new smooth surface. The project is scheduled to be complete in early summer, weather permitting.”
Crews will perform repairs nightly from 9 pm to 5 am.
