STANDOFF ENDS WITH ARREST, NO INJURIES
Law enforcement officials arrest Anthony Wayne Savage following a five to six-hour standoff.
The Liberty County Sheriff’s Office SRT Unit creates a barricade and plans their next steps.
UPDATE
The suspect has been identified as Anthony Wayne Savage. He was arrested and charged with deadly conduct, a third-degree felony.
The criminal investigation division is currently executing a search warrant on the home.

FM 1409 is expected to open sometime after 11 p.m.
DAYTON— A standoff is underway on FM 1409 at a home where an individual has reportedly barricaded himself inside a home.
In the early evening the standoff began after a man barricaded himself in the home near CR 440 across from Pathway’s Church.
The Liberty County Sheriff’s Office is working the scene and blocked the area, closing off the road in both directions.
The LCSO SRT and Chambers County Sheriff’s Office SRT Units are on the scene now.
Capt. David Meyers said they are working to bring the situation to a resolution.
