Resident found deceased near his home
The Liberty County Sheriff’s Office was notified at 8:04 p.m. Wednesday evening by a family relative that he had just found his uncle, 68-year-old Coryle Young, deceased and in a grassy area near his home behind C.C’s Club on FM 160N in the Ames area. According to the relative, nobody has seen Young for almost a month but no missing person report had been made to authorities.
Deputies found the deceased to be badly decomposed and Pct. 1 Justice of the Peace Stephen Hebert held the inquest and ordered an autopsy. Lead Investigator Robert Dunn was quoted as saying there is nothing to suggest foul play at this time and it is possible he may have died of natural causes. However, a final ruling will be pending the autopsy results.
