Gregory McClain Jenkins of Cleveland was arrested after allegations of him urinating on his downstairs neighbors at Cleveland Square Apartments.

A man was arrested on Wednesday, Sept. 27, at approximately 7:30 p.m., following a report of a suspect urinating into his downstairs neighbors at the Cleveland Square Apartments, located at 101 E. Waco Street.

Cleveland Police Department Patrol Division Officers Rodriguez and Crisanto responded to the call. Upon arrival, several witnesses confirmed that a male suspect who lives above them had been urinating over the balcony and "splashing them with urine."

The downstairs residents said that they screamed for the suspect to stop and he responded by yelling profanities at them and continued urinating. Witnesses stated that he then pulled his pants back up and went back inside his apartment.

Officer Rodriguez made contact with the man, who walked out into the balcony and denied the allegations. He denied being involved in any altercation.

When officers attempted to detain the suspect, he became uncooperative and physically combative, resisting being handcuffed. He was eventually cuffed, following a struggle, and placed under arrest. He then fought against being placed inside the patrol unit, but was eventually placed inside the vehicle and transported to the jail in Cleveland.

The suspect was identified as Gregory "Greg" McClain Jenkins, aged 68, of Cleveland. Many witnesses stated that this had been an ongoing issue and that Jenkins had repeatedly exposed himself and urinated outside in view of his neighbors. He had allegedly been warned about the behavior several times, according to other tenants of the apartment complex.

Officers photographed a large wet spot on the sidewalk where the incident had allegedly occurred.

Jenkins was charged with Resisting Arrest/Search or Transport, which is a Class A Misdemeanor. He remains in Liberty County Jail and is being held on a $5,000 bond.
