Dayton hires new IT director
The City of Dayton will welcome new Director of Information Technology Tyke Cameron to the organization on Aug. 12.
City Manager Theo Melancon said he’s excited to bring Cameron on as part of Dayton’s team of directors.
“Tyke has the right skill set and background for this role,” Melancon said. “His comprehensive knowledge of GSuite, server configuration, and experience in change management will be of great value as he leads the department forward.”
Cameron comes to Dayton with an extensive background in information technology and change management. He brings both public and private sector experience, having most recently worked as Technology Director for Silsbee ISD, and as Web Delivery Engineer at Hewlett-Packard.
