LISD to offer free lunch to all students in 2021-22
Students attending Liberty ISD during the 2021-22 school year will not be charged for lunches this year, as the district has adopted a policy that will off healthy meals each day to all students at no cost. During most school years, eligibility to take part in this program is generated by income eligibility guidelines.
This year’s policy comes from guidance at the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) that made this possible for the upcoming school year.
Parents may request a copy of the policy from their child’s campus office.
According to the media release this policy only applies to the 2021-22 school year, and that income eligibility guidelines are likely to be reinstituted for the 2022-23 school year.
