Dayton takes no action on City Manager

The Dayton City Council met for a special called meeting item Sunday night, listed as, "Discussion to deliberate the appointment, employment, evaluation, and duties of the City Manager." 

After three and a hours in closed discussions, Council returned to regular session and took no action on a single item that dealt with the subject matter of the City Manager. 
Current City Manager Theo Melancon was named the lone finalist for the same job in Dickinson, TX, last week. The Dickinson City Council is expected to take action to fill its open position on Tuesday night officially.
Council will meet tomorrow night for their regularly scheduled meeting at the Dayton Community Center.
