Daisetta logo design contest underway
DAISETTA – Do you have a penchant for the creative and live in the city of Daisetta?
Well, here is a chance to make your mark on the city and a chance to put a little cash in your pocket at the same time.
Daisetta city officials are now accepting entries for a brand- new city logo that will be utilized by the city in print, digitally, and other visual formats.
According to Alderman No. 5 Andrew Mc-Clusky, who is heading up the project, there are lots of great things hap- pening across the county, and Daisetta hopes to do their part as great things happen in that community as well, as they look at efforts to rebrand the city.
“ We wanted to give an opportunity to folks in town to be part of that,” said McClusky.
The contest is open to any resident of Daisetta or a student enrolled at Hull- Daisetta ISD.
“ We would love to see one of our local students possibly design something,” said McClusky.
The new logo must include some form of “ Daisetta, Texas” or “City of Daisetta” and utilize a maximum of up to three colors. Red and black are highly recommended but not required.
Officials request that all designs be clean, appropriate, and professional. All artwork must be original and not derived from existing designs, trademarks, or copyrighted images.
The contest’s winner will be announced during the 2023 Mayhaw Festival and will receive a $ 500 prize donated by city council members.
Entries must be submitted no later than 5 pm on Tuesday, Feb. 28.
All entries will become the property of the City of Daisetta, and they reserve the right to modify the winning logo.
