SHOP LOCAL: Antiques, classic cars and toys on the square
LIBERTY — As the holiday season is in full bloom, The Vindicator is continuing to highlight several local businesses ahead of Christmas, and there is no doubt that antiques are always a hot commodity this time of year.
Two local shops that are always great to stop and meander through are On Time Antiques and Dovetail Antiques on the courthouse square in Liberty. Both offer a glimpse at yesteryear and unique finds for that special person.
Both stores will host store-wide sales this Saturday, Dec. 9, during their annual Christmas Open House as they join forces with the 9th Annual Liberty Street Rally Christmas Toy Drive Car Show.
There will be a toy drive and car show on the square from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and toy donations will go to Liberty County CPS Foster Care Children and benefit the Liberty Welfare Board.
There will be plenty of unique, classic cars, trucks, and motorcycles. You can’t forget the coffee and the great fellowship for you and your family to enjoy.
The car show is open to all makes and models. Everyone is invited with free admission.
All unwrapped new toys for boys and girls of all ages will be accepted.
If you want to donate a toy or more information about the car show and toy drive, contact Danny Lollar at 832-256-0114 or Margaret Lollar at On Time Antique across the street from the courthouse.
