Greater Cleveland Chamber 2022 Awards Banquet
It was a rip-roaring good time at the 2022 Greater Cleveland Chamber of Commerce Awards Banquet this past Saturday, as members were adorned in fashionable 1920’s era garb for the big event. The event was sponsored by Emergency Hospital Systems and featured a 1920’s inspired menu by Top Hat Catering, with special music provided by the WiseGuys Band.
West Smith, outgoing Chair, presented the awards for the evening. The night’s big winners were Raylene Atkinson as Ambassador of the Year, Pastor Carl Williamson, receiving the honor as the “Alfred G. Anderson” Citizen of the Year Award, and the “Jean Noble McAdams” Volunteer of the Year Award went to Regina Vollmer. The 2021 Business of the Year Award went to Austin Bank. Trinity River Food Bank was honored as the Non-Profit of the Year for the Greater Cleveland Chamber of Commerce. Sandy Williamson was awarded the Chairman’s Choice Award. Outgoing Directors LaNora Purvis and Timothy Magee were also honored for their service to the chamber.
Atkinson gave the Presidential Remarks as the incoming Chair and recognized outgoing Chair Smith, thanking him for his guidance the past year over the chamber.
Finally, awards were handed out to the best dressed, with Susan Ard and Steve Racciato taking those prizes, while Janet Batchelor and Lanelle Johnston dazzled everyone with their award-winning dance moves. David Martin won the Heads or Tails BBQ package.
