DEAR RESIDENTS OF LIBERTY,
Thank you for the honor of being re-elected to your City Council. I do not take your trust and continued support for granted. It is a privilege and honor to serve on your behalf.
Congratulations also to our newly elected officials, including our new Mayor, John Hebert Jr., and my fellow council members, Councilman S e y m o u r a n d Councilman- elect Ross Ward. I look forward to working with each of you and with other members of City Council on behalf of our community as we address the challenges and opportunities before us.
Thank you also to the other contenders for your willingness to serve, as well as your supporters for being involved in the process. Your commitment to our city is commendable.
I urge all residents, including the other contenders and their supporters, to continue being a part of the process by attending council meetings and participating in public discussions. Local elections and local issues affect our everyday lives and our collective engagement is crucial if we are to be productive. Regular monthly council meetings are held on the second Tuesday at 6 PM. Information about these and other Special Called meetings is posted on the city’s website, on the bulletin board outside the west (Milam St) entrance to City Hall, and I also share them on social media.
To the residents of Liberty, I invite you to share any issues or concerns with me. While I can’t promise the outcome you want every time, I can assure you that your concerns will be heard and given fair consideration. Please feel free to contact me directly through my website at www. tommybrents.com where you can also find links to my social media.
In Your Service, City Councilman Tommy Brents
