Next week at Story Time
Join us Wednesday Feb. 5, at 11 a.m. for Story Time at the Liberty Municipal Library. This free program is designed for children ages 2 to 4 years, but siblings are absolutely welcome. Story Time presents a unique opportunity to encourage early literacy skills and a life time love of reading.
Next Wednesday we will read Mo Willem’s “The Pigeon Needs a Bath!” In this hilarious installment of Willem’s popular “pigeon” series of children’s books, pigeon needs a bath. He really needs a bath. But, he will not be taking one willingly.
Sticking to our (potentially) stinky theme, we will also be reading bilingual book “La Higiene” by Gabriela Keselman and discussing healthy hygiene habits such as brushing our teeth with both Spanish and English keywords.
Afterward, children will have the opportunity to craft their own pigeon friend.
The Liberty Municipal Library is at 1710 Sam Houston Street. For more information about Story Time or any of the resources/services available through the Library, please call us at 936-336-8901, follow the library on Facebook and/or Instagram, or just come on by. We would love to see you.
