The Trivium Club of Liberty met on Sept. 8 in the home of Beverly Davis with co-hostesses Susan Allison and Donna Barranco. In keeping with public safety amid the coronavirus concerns, members in attendance wore masks or attended virtually through a zoom meeting platform.

Members of the club previously met in March in the lovely garden and home of Becky Spears after which meetings for the rest of the club year were suspended. New officers were installed virtually in May.

President Misty Riley called the meeting to order and Recording Secretary Roberta Thornton read minutes from previous regular and executive committee meetings. The yearbook was reviewed and Vice Presidents Margaret Gardzina and Becky Spears were thanked for the interesting upcoming programs and yearbook design. Treasurer Julie Hebert gave an accounting of the club’s finances.

Members are looking forward to the October meeting which will feature a presentation by Erin Geiger Smith, author of “Thank You for Voting: The Maddening Enlightening, Inspiring Truth about Voting in America.” Erin is a Liberty native now living in New York.
