Kevin Plante of Baytown and Executive Officer of the Texas Naval Squadron, a historian and reenactor, will discuss the beginning of the Texas Navy and its role in the Texas Revolution. (2)Authors’ Autograph Party Set for July 24
Sixteen authors and their books will either represented or present on Saturday, July 24, 2021, from 1-4 p.m. at the Parsonage of Keltys United Methodist Church in Lufkin, Texas.
Twentieth-century African American autobiography, historical fiction, fiction, romance novels, World War II autobiography and history, political satire, antebellum slavery history, sports history, a children’s book, the history of a church, and more will be a part of the mix these authors will proffer.
The authors coming or represented are Herman Wright and Jamie Carter Bollich, Bobby Bean, Tracy Pinkerton, Joe Deason, Jerry Hopkins, Jeff Forret, John Culea, Betty Oglesbee, Neal Murphy, Rosie Walker, the Angelina County Genealogical Society, Marilyn Whitehead Peveto, Jan Dobbs Barton, Peggy Arriola Jasso, O. T. Haygood, Kim Whitton, and Penny Clark.
