Dayton High School’s Ag Mech program introduced welding certifications for the first time this school year.

Under the watchful eye and instruction of Mr. Ryan Wagner, DHS Ag Mech teacher, students have been learning the ins and outs of different types of welds that will be used in the welding industry.

Jacob Huckabee, Josh Kopecky, and Noah Herrera are all on track to graduate in a few weeks from DHS.

Along with achieving a high school graduate status, they have earned their AWS 9.1 certification and are considered job ready.

DHS Career & Technical Education Department and DISD celebrate their achievements. DISD is proud of this great accomplishment for not only these students but the future students who will also have the opportunity to earn welding certifications.
