Fundraising Event for CASA of Liberty and Chambers Counties
Liberty, TX: CASA of Liberty and Chambers Counties is hosting a ‘CASA Family Block Party’, a fundraiser to be held on June 12, 2021 from 4:00 to 8:00pm on CASA’s front lawn, at 2015 Scout St. Liberty, TX 77575. The event will include carnival games and prizes, inflatable bounce houses, and food trucks. Tickets for games and attractions will be sold at the event for $0.25 per ticket.

We are excited to come together for this event to not only raise support for this organization, but to continue to raise awareness about the importance of having an advocate for every child in foster care.”

The COVID-19 pandemic forced CASA of Liberty & Chambers Counties to pivot its approach in advocating for abused and neglected children. Recruiting and training volunteers became a primarily virtual endeavor. Volunteers adapted to ever-changing social distancing guidelines when holding in-person visits with the children. And at the height of the pandemic, office staff shifted to work-from-home, meeting remotely via zoom, and court proceedings were held online. “We persisted through each challenge, flexing to serve the skyrocketing number of children that came into care. However, because of local health restrictions this year, we could no longer rely on in-person fundraising events to help meet our ever-growing needs. As health guidelines have started to lift, we are excited to host this event, and once again gather together in support of these kids!”
The organization is seeking corporate partners willing to sponsor the event, helping to keep the event budget-friendly and accessible for all families.
