Service in the Style of Taize’
A Service in the Style of TAIZE’ will be held at 6pm on Sunday, 22 May 2022 at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, 2041 Trinity, Liberty (next to Prosperity Bank). All are invited.
The simple and beautiful songs of TAIZE’ are sung all over the world. Brother Roger, at age 25, settled in this almost abandoned community in eastern France in 1940, while the horrible War was raging through Europe. He had a vision of forming a monastic community of men to live out a “parable of community.” His house quickly became a haven for refugees, especially Jews, who were fleeing from the evil Nazis.
Today, the community of TAIZE hosts thousands of Pilgrims, especially young people, who want to meet, pray, and have communion with each other. The songs are quite simple and beautiful. We would like to dedicate this TAIZE’ Service to the people of Ukraine, who are suffering from a horrible war with the Russians. If you need to “calm down” .... Please come to our Service in the Style of TAIZE’. For details, please call 936-336-3716
