Walters to speak to genealogical society
Irene B. Walters will be speaking at the April 28th meeting of the Liberty County Genealogical Society at 10am located at the Partlow House Meeting Room 2131 Grand Avenue.
Ms. Walters came to the Houston Clayton Library Center for Genealogical Research from New York in 1997 after receiving her librarian degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo. Irene has given talks to many groups on various aspects of genealogical research including: computers, the internet, ancestors in the modern military, using newspapers for your research, passenger list searching, naturalization records, New York State, Irish, and French research. Irene started her own genealogy research as a teenager and has researched lines back to France, Ireland, and recently Germany. Even more difficult is pursuing her other German and Dutch lines.
