Genealogical Society to hold meeting

The first meeting of the Genealogical Society will be April 28 at 10am located at the Partlow House at 2131 Grand Avenue. The public is invited free of charge to hear our guest speaker, Irene Walters.
Her topic is “Genealogy Tips and Tricks”. She will address resolving problems finding ancestors even though you know their names and dates and have information on the places where they live. You will learn various tips and tricks for searching around the known family information to find these tricky ancestors. She will also speak about the Clayton Library Center for Genealogical Research in Houston and how to utilize its FREE resources and knowledgeable staff. Clayton Library is one of the top ten genealogical research libraries in America and it’s right here in our own back yard.
