Dayton Rotary Treated to a Sweet Story
The Dayton Rotary Club was truly ‘ treated’ by the founders of the Sketchy Fudge company. Rotarian Lisa Vauter had the program for the day. After President Rachel Ansley started the meeting, Vauter introduced Derek and Sonya Rauser. Their powerful story started out as a hobby and the pair decided to move forward and make it more than a hobby. After an unfortunate incident, the Rauser family took the high road and believed that God had led them to Texas for a reason. The couple and their children moved to the Dayton area last January from Oklahoma. Derek told their incredible story on how they believe God gave them a purpose and continues to help them overcome many obstacles in life. Hence, the business of Sketchy Fudge was created. The fudge recipe was handed down from generation to generation and has been tweaked to give customers a wide variety of flavors. At the end of their presentation, the Rotarians were ‘treated’ with samples. Just some of the flavors included Butterfinger, maple pecan, butterscotch, mint chocolate chip, plain chocolate, toffee, peanut butter, white Reese’s, rocky road, turtle, Oreo, strawberry cheesecake, red raspberry, pumpkin, key lime and of course the allnew Elvis fudge with peanut butter, banana and bacon. Anyone interested in purchasing their delicious fudge can reach the Rauser family by calling @ 405-894-1000.
