Liberty Lion Moorman elected Council Chairperson
The Liberty Lions Club is pleased to announce that Past District Governor Chris Moorman has been elected to the position of Council Chairperson for Lions Multiple District 2 (MD-2 Texas) for the 20272028 term at the Lions District 2-S2 Convention on April 27, 2024. The Council Chairperson position supports the actions and decisions of the District Governors of Texas.
A dedicated member of the Liberty Lions Club since the year 2000, Chris Moorman’s commitment to service and leadership within the organization has been unwavering. His prior role as District Governor during the 2014-2015 term showcased his passion for Lions Clubs International (LCI) and its mission.
In recognition of his leadership skills, Chris Moorman was recently appointed as the Group Leader at the FVDG\\DGE Seminar for incoming Governors. This role came at the request of LCI First Vice President Fabricio Oliviera, underlining Moorman’s reputation as a respected and influential figure within the Lions community.
Moorman’s election as Council Chairperson marks a significant milestone in his longstanding dedication to the Liberty Lions Club and Lions Clubs International. His vision, experience, and commitment to service are poised to make a lasting impact on MD-2 and the broader Texas Lions community.
Chris Moorman is married to DeDe Moorman whose father, Felix Odum, was also a dedicated Liberty Lion. Lion DeDe will also serve MD-2 in assisting the partners of the 2027-2028 District Governors perform their duties.
