At their April meeting, the Libertad Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution recognized four students who were chosen as the American Essay winners from 5th - 8th grade. The students wrote an essay about John Phillip Sousa, the American conductor and composer. Each winner read their essays aloud to the chapter members and guests.
