Anahuac will be road warriors early on
ANAHUAC — Coming off a playoff season in 2023, the Anahuac Panthers are looking for bigger and better things on the gridiron coming into 2024.
The schedule will see Anahuac opening up the season at home on Aug. 30 against Cypress Community Christian before the Panthers take to the road for over a month.
The road trip starts in Woodville on Sept. 6, and then, the following Friday, there will be another road trip to Woodville and a contest with Garrison on a neutral site.
Staying on the road, the Panthers head for Houston and a battle with Lutheran South on Sept. 20.
District play begins the following Friday night as Anahuac heads up to Kirbyville for a big one with the Wildcats.
The Panthers finally return home on Oct. 4 against the Orangefield Bobcats in a pivotal district contest.
A trip down the road will follow on Oct. 11 for a visit to Winnie to face off against East Chambers in what could be the game of the season.
The black and gold will return home on Oct. 18 for a match-up against the Buna Cougars.
The Panthers will take the short trip to Hardin the following Friday as they hope to sting the Hornets.
Anahuac will get some much-needed rest with a bye week on Nov. 1 before ending the regular season at home on Nov. 8 against the always-strong Coldspring Trojans.
