Annual Administrative Professionals Day Luncheon April 21
The Liberty-Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce would like to invite everyone to celebrate National Administrative Professionals Day Wednesday April 21, 2021. We are still under COVID-19 guidelines, so Liberty Center is not open to the public. This year we will have a ‘Drive-Thru Luncheon’.
Administrative Professionals are the unsung heroes and heroines of our businesses. Administrative Professionals Week is observed world-wide to honor the administrative personnel and staff of area businesses. This year’s luncheon is catered by Tuscany’s Italian Restaurant, Dayton. The menu consists of: your choice of Spaghetti with Meatballs or Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo, salad, roll, cheesecake for dessert, your choice of water or soft drink.
The employees in our businesses are the greeters to the public – by telephone or to the customers and clients that first come in the door. This first impression of a business by the staff and Admins, is so very important! This luncheon is an opportunity to let them know how much they are appreciated. For bonus fun, as in the past, each staff member who qualifies (sorry, bosses) will receive a gift donated by an area business or individual.
Please make your reservation as soon as possible and it will help greatly if the boss/ owner/supervisor of the business will assist in providing gifts and bring to the chamber prior to the event, or if needed, please call for the gift to be picked up. The gift is usually of $20-$25 in value. Suggestions are gift cards, certificates or items from our area businesses. Please contact Debbie @ 936-334-2800; Andrea @ 210-792-6496 or Sharon @ 936-256- 0414. E-mail: chamber@imsday.com
Here’s the REALLY FUN PART---
We are sailing ‘uncharted waters’ so to speak, so this is Plan A. We are expecting great weather, so the Drive-Thru will be held in front of the Chamber office in Liberty at 1801 Trinity St. Approach the chamber from the east (Courthouse area will be behind you). Passenger side/chamber side. You will present ALL of your tickets, both bosses and staff, at the first stop to receive your delicious food prepared by Tuscany’s Italian Restaurant, Dayton. The ‘Bosses’ ticket(s) will be dropped into a container at this location. Then, a Chamber Director will take the tickets eligible for gifts with him/her to the gift table. The car will pull up in line to the Gift Table and the gifts will be given to the eligible recipients at this second stop.
In the unlikely event that rain is in the forecast and is serious enough to make a difference, Plan B will go into effect. Pastors Chris and Melanie Contreras of New Work Family Worship Center located at 2512 Grand, (corner of Texas and Grand) have graciously permitted the Chamber to use their parking lot for the drive-thru luncheon. Enter from the Grand Street side and exit on Neuman, in front of Chrysalis School.
Please contact Sharon, Debbie, or Andrea, names and phone number in this information, with your reservations or questions. Tickets are $15.00 and try to have your reservations in by April 15 so the caterer can have a head count. (This is not fast-food) No tickets are sold the day of the event, Serving begins 11:00 a.m. and continues until all reservations are filled, or 1:30 pm.
Make your reservations to come and enjoy!
