PUMPKIN PATCH
The First Methodist Church Dayton, 106 S. Cleveland St, Dayton, Tx 77535, will be hosting its annual Pumpkin Patch. Opening Day will be Sept. 27. FOOD TRUCK FUSION
The City of Cleveland will be hosting Food Truck Fusion on Sept. 29, Oct. 27 & Nov. 17, from 11 am – 1 pm, at its new convenient downtown location, 106 W. Hanson, Cleveland, TX 7327. There will be a variety of food trucks, plus, some fun additions to enjoy!
ROTARY WINE TASTING
The Liberty Rotary Club will be having its annual wine tasting event on Sept. 30 at the Oaks at Magnolia Ridge from 6-8 pm. We will be sampling wines from across the world and providing charcuterie appetizers to eat! There will be wine drawings throughout the night where attendants can buy a ticket for a chance to win a bottle of wine and other goodies included. We are also having a silent auction with items from local businesses.
Tickets for the event will be $55.00 a person and the wine drawing tickets will be $5.00 each. Tickets can be purchased by calling or texting 936-641-0232 or 404-274-5432.

LIBERTY COUNTY PRAYER MARCH
Make plans now to attend to the 3rd Annual Liberty County Prayer March on Saturday, Oct. 1 at Noon in Downtown Liberty. The entire county is encouraged to come out and join fellow community members and help lift the country through prayer and fellowship at the event.
SCHOLARSHIP FUNDRAISER
The Knights of Columbus will be hosting a Scholarship Fundraiser Oct. 1 at 411 Milam St., Liberty, TX 77575. Tables are $400 (tables seat 8 and you get access to cocktail hour starting at 5 pm, dinner starting at 6 pm, 16 drink tickets and wristbands for VIP access to the bar.) Tickets are $15 for presale and $20 at the door. Doors will open to the public at 7 pm. There will be beer, wine, and nonalcoholic drinks sold. Damon Troy, Mud Creek Revival and Mr. Dawson Drake & The Blue-Collar Boys will be there. CLEVELAND FALL FESTIVAL
The City of Cleveland will be hosting a Fall Festival on Oct. 1, from 10 am – 3 pm, at the Cleveland Civic Center, 210 Peach St., Cleveland, TX 77327. There will be food, shopping, a fall picture area, etc. This is a FREE family event.
Scholarship Dinner and Dance

ST STEPHEN’S OKTOBERFEST
Come join us for our annual OKTOBERFEST on Sunday, Oct. 2 at 6 pm at the St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, 2041 Trinity (next to Prosperity Bank) in Liberty. DAYTON ROTARY FISH FRY
The Dayton Rotary Club will be holding a fund-raising, fish fry dinner on Friday, October 7th to benefit the scholarship fund and many of the other beneficial programs the Club supports. The menu will be fried catfish, french fries, cole slaw and a beverage. Friday, October 7th is a home football game for Dayton and the fish fry will be held at Woodrow Wilson Junior High on Highway 146 in Dayton. They will serve from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM or until they are sold out. Tickets are $14.00 and include all you can eat and a beverage. Take outs are available. BAGS AND BREWS
The Dayton Chamber of Commerce is hosting their 2nd Annual Bags and Brews event Saturday, Oct. 8, at the Dayton Community Center. Check in time for cornhole teams begins at 10 am and play begins at 11 am. It is a double elimination event and there will be prizes for 1st-3rd. Cost is $40 for teams of two. It is a BYOB event. TCL TRADE DAYS
The Tarkington Community Library will be hosting TCL Trade Days Saturday, Oct. 8, Nov. 12 and Dec. 13 from 9-4 pm. They will have crafts, arts, canned goods, boutiques, quilts, lotions & soaps, and various other booths. Also, the library has a Book Nook that is now open that sells books. The annual Trinity Valley Exposition Wine Tasting will be held Friday, Oct. 14 at 6:00 pm at the TVE Community Room located at 321 Wallisville Rd Liberty, Texas 77575. The cost is $35 per ticket.
LFD BBQ SANDWICH SALE
The Liberty Fire Department is hosting a BBQ Sandwich Sale on Saturday, Oct. 15 from 10:30 am – 2 pm (or sold out) at 2325 N Main St (Brookshire Brothers parking lot) Liberty, TX 77575. Chopped brisket sandwiches with chips and a drink is $10; chopped beef is $10/lb. You can order whole briskets for $90, presale only, by calling 936-336-3922. 2022 TVE BABY PARADE
The Trinity Valley Exposition will be hosting their annual Baby Parade through downtown Liberty on Main Street Saturday, October 15 at 10 am. This year’s theme is “DECADES”. 2022 TVE BBQ COOKOFF
Trinity Valley Exposition asks that the community join them for another fun filled weekend of cooking and fun at the annual BBQ Cook-Off starting October 14 at 8 am and ending October 16 at 10 am. It will be at the TVE Fairgrounds, 321 FM 563 (Wallisville Road) in Liberty. The cost to reserve a space, which is 40x40 in size, before October 7 is $120.00 per team, after October 7 is $170.00. This event is free to the community. Your team cannot charge the public to enter your space. HARDIN SENIOR CITIZENS
The Hardin Senior Citizens meet at the Hardin Community Center each week Tuesday-Friday the center opens at 8:30 am for anyone wanting a little breakfast at no charge or just to swing in to visit. Celebrate Recovery
The Family Church in Hardin hosts Celebrate Recovery, a weekly class every Tuesday at 7 pm. If you know someone who needs this class, please share this information with them. This is a Bible-based recovery program for alcohol, drugs, codependency, anger management, etc. The Family Church is located at 656 CR 2010 in Hardin, Texas.

As the legislative branch of the City of Ames government, the City Council holds open public meetings where local laws, policies, and fundamental decisions for the city are discussed and decided. City Council members are elected at large.
