FAMILY FUN FRIDAY

Hull- Daisetta is hosting a Family Fun Friday on Dec. 1 from 5 to 9 p. m. The Grinch Parade starts at the Hull- Daisetta High School parking lot, and the Visit from Santa begins after the parade inside the pavilion. The night’s last event is at the Daisetta City Pavilion parking lot, where “ How the Grinch Stole Christmas “ will be shown.

DONUTS WITH SANTA

On Saturday, Dec. 2, Calvary Baptist Church of Dayton will host Donuts with Santa from 8:30- 10:30 a. m. Kids and families can take pictures with Santa, make a craft, play a game, and enjoy a donut. SPIRIT OF CHRISTMAS EVENT The City of Dayton invites the community to their Spirit of Christmas Event on Dec. 2 at the Dayton Community Center. The fun kicks off at 11 a. m. with the Nutcracker Market, followed by activities such as live music and other events. The parade will start at 6 p. m., followed by the Tree Lighting at 7 p. m.

HOMETOWN CHRISTMAS

The City of Cleveland is hosting its annual Hometown Christmas on Dec. 2 from 10 a. m. to 5 p. m. at the Cleveland Civic Center. There will be vendors, live entertainment, a kids’ zone, food trucks, and a downtown lighted parade starting at 6 p. m.

The Canterbury Chorale presents “ The Messiah” on Sunday, Dec. 3, at 6 p. m. at St. Stephens Episcopal Church on 2041 Trinity Avenue, Liberty.

LIBERTY CHRISTMAS PARADE The City of Liberty is having its Christmas Parade on Tuesday, Dec. 5, at 6 p. m.

TEA WITH ELSA AND ANNA Dayton High School Drama and Choir Departments are presenting a Tea with Ana and Elsa on Dec 9. At the DHS cafeteria from 11 a. m. – 1 p. m. There are refreshments, photo opportunities, karaoke, face painting, and games. Tickets are sold at all DISD campuses—$ 15 for an individual ticket and $25 for up to a family of four.

FISH FRY FUNDRAISER

Raywood’s Big Christmas Giveaway is Saturday, Dec. 16, from 12 p. m. to 1 p. m. at Langtree Retreat Center, 2825 County Rd 190 in Liberty. Doris Lang Ministries will give away free toys via registration, bags of groceries, and door prizes. The giveaway is first come – first served, and an adult must accompany children to receive a toy.

2024 DAYTON FIRE/ POLICE MUSEUM CALENDARS

The new 2024 calendars featuring Dayton’s Volunteer Fire Department and Police Department have arrived and are available for purchase. Photos included are Frank’s Café fire in 1998, the Dayton VFD fleet of firetrucks in the 1950s and 2017, a group photo of firefighters in the 1990s and 2017, and cameo photos. The Price of the calendar is $ 15, with proceeds going to benefit the future Fire/Police Museum. Two hundred calendars are available, and they are sure to sell out quickly. SENIOR LUNCHEON

The Hardin Senior Citizens meet at the Hardin Community Center each week, Tuesday- Friday the center opens at 8: 30 am for anyone wanting a little breakfast at no charge or just to swing in to visit. CELEBRATE RECOVERY

The Family Church in Hardin hosts Celebrate Recovery, a weekly class every Friday at 7 pm. If you know someone who needs this class, please share this information with them. This is a Bible- based recovery program for alcohol, drugs, codependency, anger management, etc. The Family Church is at 9456 HWY 146 N in Hardin, Texas.

The City of Liberty has Coffee with the Mayor on the third Thursday of the month at 7:30 am in council chambers.
