DAYTON HISTORICAL SOCIETY
The Dayton Historical Society will be hosting an art show featuring the art of Justice of the Peace Precinct 4, Larry Wilburn, this weekend Saturday and Sunday from 1-4pm. The event will be held at the Dayton Old School Museum on Houston Street. Wilburn will also be the guest presenter at the DHS March meeting on Monday, March 27 at 6 p.m.
SENIOR CENTER SPRING FLING
Cleveland Senior Center is having its Spring Festival on March 24, from 3 to 7pm, at 220 Peach Street, Cleveland. There will be Bake Sale and Silent Auction. Dinner plates will be available for $10. Entertainment provided by The Holy Rollers Band. Accepting donations for prizes and silent auction items. Please call 281592-1174 for pick up or drop off at our center. All proceeds go to Meals on Wheels.
BAKELESS BAKE SALE
The Friends of the Library are hosting their Bakeless Bake Sale March 24 and 25 during the Liberty Jubilee. Donations of any amount may be mailed to Beverly Davis at 1711 Webster Street, Liberty, dropped in the mail slot at her front door or dropped off at the library. Make checks out to the Friends of the Library. Donations will be accepted now through March 31. All money goes to the library to use for activities, such as the Summer Reading Program, and also for supplies that may be needed throughout the year. The annual book sale will take place on the second floor of the library on March 45 and 45 during the Jubilee.
NATIONAL VIETNAM WAR
VETERAN’S DAY LUNCH
On March 29, the Dayton Memorial Post 512, will be serving FREE lunch to honor all Vietnam Veterans from 11am to 2pm for National Vietnam War Veteran’s Day. Liberty County Veteran Service Officer will be on hand to answer your questions concerning VA benefits and claims. Any questions, contact Jerry Killion 936-402-0741. CEMTERY CLEAN UP DAY
The Linney-Acie Cemetery Association (LACA) is hosting Cemetery Clean Up Day Saturday, April 1, from 8 AM to 12 Noon at the Linney-Acie Cemetery, located at 399 North Colbert Street, Dayton. The event is open to the public and free! Volunteers are needed to help clean, stabilize, reset, and landscape Veteran gravestones. Other tasks include removing old flowers from monuments and clearing tree debris along the fence line. Bring your gloves and stay as long as you can. LACA will provide cleaning supplies and water, but you can bring your shovel, chainsaw, or pole pruner. Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts, and those needing community service hours are welcome. HARDIN HELPNG HANDS
Hardin Helping Hands is hosting a multi-family yard sale, Friday, March 31, 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM and Saturday, April 1, 8:00 am to noon at 14752 Highway 146 N., Liberty. All proceeds benefit Hardin Helping Hands, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Hardin Helping Hands sponsors several community- based projects including food drives, back-to-school supply drives, clothes closets, annual Christmas Parade/Tree Lighting/ Citizen of the Year award, and the Students First Program which provides new clothing and other essential needs to students in Hardin ISD several times throughout the year. TO LIVE AGAIN BOOK SIGNING In celebration of Hellen Miller Perry’s book “To Live Again” there will be a book signing at Honey Bee Ranch Center, 800 E Highway 90, Dayton on Saturday, April 1, from 2-4pm. LENT 2023 FISH FRY
Knights of Columbus & Catholic Daughters will have a fish fry every Friday starting Feb. 24 to March 31 from 5 to 7 pm at St. Josephs the Worker Catholic Church, 804 S. Cleveland St., Dayton. Plates include fried fish, hushpuppies, French fries, coleslaw, and dessert. You can drive thru or dine in, $12 cash or check, and $15 when paying with a card.
FISH FRY FRIDAY
Knight of Columbus will have Fish Fry Fridays every Friday starting Feb. 24 to March 31 from 5-7 pm or until sold out. Price will be $12 for the drive-thru and $15 for dine-in. Pick up will be at 411 Milam St, Liberty. Cash, cards and checks are accepted.
PUBLIC ART SHOW
The Dayton Community Center will host the Annual Public Art show from April 3 to 13, and the public is welcome. Open House will be on April 3 from 3 to 6 pm. MYRA SMTH BOOK SIGNING
The Jones Public Library will be hosting local author Myra Smith on Tuesday, April 4th, from 5:30-6:30 PM, in celebration of her book, “Help, I’ve Fallen into Old Age, and I Can’t Get Up!”. There will be a short reading followed by a Q&A and reception. Books will be available for purchase and signing. Refreshments will be catered by Lindsay’s Lunches and paid for by the Friends of the Library. This event is open to the public, so plan to come by and support your neighbor!
FBC DAYTON UPCOMING EVENTS 4/5 at 6pm - Community Meal and Easter Celebration All are invited to join us for a free meal (loaded baked potato). There will also be desserts, Easter Candy, and 5 Easter Baskets to be given away as door prizes. 4/7 at 7pm – Good Friday Service Join us as we focus on Christ’s death by singing praises, reading Scripture, and celebrating Communion, all by candlelight. 4/8 10am- 12pm – Easter Eggstravaganza FBC is hosting a fun easter celebration on our campus. There will be snacks, an easter egg hunt, games crafts and of course sharing the good news of Jesus. 4/9 10:30am – Resurrection Sunday Everyone is invited to a wonderful celebration of the risen Christ. In a Christ-centered service we will worship our great God, giving him glory for the resurrection of Christ, our Savior.

CONVERSATIONS & BREAKFAST Pastor Ken Davis from Calvary Baptist Church in Dayton invites everyone to come talk to him or pray with him on Friday mornings from 8:30am to 12pm at MacDonald’s. You bring the conversation, and he buys the breakfast. You are also more than welcomed to send him a Facebook message to leave a prayer request for him.

Starting on March 5th and every first Sunday of each month Cleveland VFW is sponsoring “The First Sunday” jam hosted by the Loose Change Band from 1-5pm. Bring your axe and your talent. Musicians wanted. There will be food available.
CLEVELAND NINTH GRADE CENTER FOOD MARKET Cleveland Ninth Grade Center hosts a Food Market every two weeks, from 9 am – 12 pm. This market is set up and run by student volunteers. Everyone is welcome. We have a goal to provide food for 150 families. Help us reach our goal! The Market is located at 1522 N. Blair, Cleveland.

Every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, a free senior luncheon will be held at the Dayton Community Center 11 am – 12 pm. The event will be hosted by the City of Dayton, Trinity River Food Bank, and G.R.A.C.E. Call 936-258-6630 to sign up for a meal.
YARN CLUB

CELEBRATE RECOVERY
The Family Church in Hardin hosts Celebrate Recovery, a weekly class every Tuesday at 7 pm. If you know someone who needs this class, please share this information with them.
