LMS PANTHER PLAYERS

The Liberty Middle School Panther Players intro classes will be presenting three holiday-themed shows for your entertainment. The shows will include portrayals covering the three major celebrations of the season: Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, and of course, Christmas. The performance date is Thursday the 16th of December, 6:00 pm at the LISD Auditorium; there will be a $5.00 admission fee. Thirty-one students from three classes will be featured in a most memorable and informative evening.

We look forward to seeing all y’all at the show.

AMES CHRISTMAS PARADE

The Ames Community Improvement Group presents the 2nd Annal Christmas Parade, Saturday, Dec. 18 at 5 pm. After the parade, the kids can take pictures with Santa and receive a gift. There will be lots of fun and just a moment for the community to come out and enjoy each other as we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. Please contact Brandy Pruitt at 214-949-3394 or Willona Broussard at 409-277-9582 to enter your group or business in the parade. There is a $10 entry fee.

MEET SANTA

Santa Claus is coming to the Santa Fe Admin Building, Saturday, Dec. 19 from 2-6 pm. Come out and get photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus at 1680 CR 3549, Cleveland, TX 77327. The event is hosted by the Liberty County Pct. 6 Constables Office.

TCL TRADE DAYS

The Tarkington Community Library will be hosting TCL Trade Days on the second Saturday of each month from 9 am – 4 pm. They will have arts, crafts, antiques, baked goods, sweets, vintage boutiques, concessions, and family fun. The event will be on December 11 at the Library located at 3032 FM 163, Cleveland, TX 77327. For vendor information, email TCLTradedays@gmail.com.

2022 GREATER CLEVELAND CHAMBER BANQUET

The Greater Cleveland Chamber of Commerce will have its annual Chamber Banquet, Friday, Jan. 22, from 5-8 pm at the Cleveland Civic Center. This year’s theme is the roaring ‘20’s, and there will be loads of fun as they will have a 1920’s Best Dresses Contest and Best Charleston Dance Contest with a full course dinner, served with foods from the era. Winners will receive trophies and gift cards. Roadhouse Randy Karaoke and DJ will provide entertainment for the night. Presenting Sponsor will be Emergency Hospital Systems. DAYTON SENIOR CENTER

The Dayton Senior Center is NOW open Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm.

Lunch is on Wednesday & Fridays with a $3 fee (Must sign-up and pay prior)

Sit & Be Fit workout class 12:30 to 1:15 pm; Mondays & Thursdays (starting August)

HARDIN SENIOR CITIZENS

The Hardin Senior Citizens meet at the Hardin Community Center each week Tuesday-Friday the center opens at 8:30 am for anyone wanting a little breakfast at no charge or just to swing in to visit. For more information or to reserve your lunch, call 936-298-3107. The Hardin Community Center is located at 414 CR 2010 in Hardin.

DAYTON OLD SCHOOL MUSEUM

The Dayton Old School Museum is open to the public on Saturdays from 10 am – 2 pm. The museum is located at 111 W. Houston St. in Dayton.

CELEBRATE RECOVERY

The Family Church in Hardin is hosting Celebrate Recovery, a weekly class every Tuesday at 7 pm. If you know someone who needs this class, please share this information with them. This is a Bible-based recovery program for alcohol, drugs, codependency, anger management, etc. The Family Church is located at 656 CR 2010 in Hardin, Texas.

NARCOTICS ANONYMOUS

Trust the process. Narcotics Anonymous meets every Monday and Wednesday at 7 pm at 424 Main Street in Liberty, next to Jax Hamburgers. For more information, call 254-716-9965.

COFFEE WITH THE MAYOR

The City of Liberty has Coffee with the Mayor on the third Thursday of the month.

DAYTON FOOD TRUCK FRIDAYS

11 am - 2 pm every Friday on 111 N Church St. in Dayton.

CLEVELAND FOOD TRUCK FUSION

We are expanding our hours and inviting craft/ boutique vendors to join us for our May 6 kickoff event! The new hours are Every Thursday from 10:00 am – 6:00 pm. Call 281-592-2395 and talk with Marina or Ashleigh at the Civic Center to get added to our vendor list!

Mobile Food Vendors are required to submit paperwork for a mobile food vendor permit. (The fee is $100) - https://www.clevelandtexas.com/.../Mobile-Food-Vendor...

Boutique/Craft vendors are not required to pay a vendor fee and just fill out the vendor form with the Civic Center. (210 Peach Ave.)

AMES CITY COUNCIL MEETING

As the legislative branch of the City of Ames government, the City Council holds open public meetings where local laws, policies, and fundamental decisions for the city are discussed and decided. City Council members are elected at large.

Notice for all public meetings, along with agendas, are posted in advance of the meeting. Minutes are posted after meetings have concluded.

LIBERTY CITY COUNCIL MEETING

All members are elected at large. The regularly called meetings of the Liberty City Council are held on the second Tuesday of each month at 6:00 pm. Special called meetings are typically held on the fourth Tuesday of each month; however, meetings may be reached at any time to conduct necessary business.

PLUM GROVE CITY COUNCIL MEETING

Second Monday of each month

Meetings start at 7:00 pm at City Hall.
