City of Dayton Lakes Mayor Daniel Norris and City Secretary Betty McCormick show off the new city logo. The logo was designed by students from the Liberty High School’s Business Practicum course taught by Richey Ewing. The class is set-up like a print shop and they take orders for both screen printed and vinyl signs, as well as apparel.

A new chapter in Liberty County’s storied history began on Jan. 4, 2021 as Wesley Hinch was sworn in as the new Judge for County Court No. 2 and became the first person to be elected to the position.

In the historic Liberty County Courthouse’s 75th District Courtroom, Jennifer Bergman was recently sworn in as the new Liberty County District Attorney. Bergman made history by becoming the first female in Liberty County’s history to hold the District Attorney’s position.
