OPERA TO GO! Is a fully staged, high energy 45-minute opera. Performances are sung in English, and designed with students in mind. This year’s OPERA TO GO! “ Monkey and Francine in the City of Tigers,” is a Houston Grand Opera commissioned piece by Kamala Sankaram and David Johnston. Inspired by Indian and Chinese mythology and the Bollywood style, this hilarious fable demonstrates the power of teamwork as a pair of monkey siblings save their kingdom from the wicked tigers.
